On the first working day after the Spring Festival of the Year of the Snake, SAIC Volkswagen Party Secretary and General Manager Tao Hailong went to one place. His focus is actually the key focus of SAIC Volkswagen's efforts—high-end products. Tao Hailong went to the front line of R&D and manufacturing, because two major blockbuster new cars of SAIC Volkswagen's dual brands are about to be born here: the Teramont Pro and the first new energy model of the AUDI brand.
In fact, before going to the R&D front line, Tao Hailong was already fully aware of SAIC Volkswagen's sales data for the first month of the Year of the Snake: new car sales reached 98,800 units. In the fuel vehicle market, SAIC Volkswagen's market share has reached nearly 10%, that is, "for every 10 fuel vehicles sold, one must come from SAIC Volkswagen."

In 2025, SAIC Volkswagen's new product offensive kicked off with high-end products and will continue throughout the entire Year of the Snake. On the first working day, SAIC Volkswagen announced the fifth-generation EA888 engine, which is installed globally for the first time, and the Teramont Pro, the third model in the "intelligent fuel vehicle" Pro series, also made a brief appearance.
Before the official debut of the all-new technology, among January's new car sales, the other two "Pro" models also shone brightly: the Passat Pro and Tiguan L Pro saw continuously rising sales, opening a second growth curve for fuel vehicles.

Driven by the Passat Pro, sales of the Passat family exceeded 25,000 units in January, continuing to lead the mid-to-high-end sedan market. The Tiguan L Pro, in turn, drove the Tiguan family to achieve sales of nearly 17,000 units in January, becoming a shining star in the SUV market.
As a veteran automaker, backed by strong durability and reliable quality, SAIC Volkswagen has transformed into a leader in intelligent technology, and its product system is also very complete. From the Tharu XR starting at a fixed price of 79,900 yuan to the Lavida family, a model of the national car, SAIC Volkswagen's models can be said to suit all ages, and all users focus on "peace of mind" when making a purchase.
Therefore, the Tharu family driven by the Tharu XR also exceeded 13,000 units in January sales, a year-on-year increase of 19.4%, and the Lavida family maintained strong growth, becoming a must-choice for young people's first new car.

At the same time, SAIC Audi, which is "starting on a steep slope" in a mature market, also showed a month-by-month increasing sales trend in the luxury car market. In January, SAIC Audi's new car sales increased by 38.1% year on year, among which sales of the main model, the SAIC Audi A7L, increased by 112.4% year on year, ushering in a happy start to the year for SAIC Audi.
Of course, Tao Hailong hurried to the front line of AUDI brand R&D at the start of the new year also because of his concern for SAIC Audi's new models. This year, SAIC Audi will launch two heavyweight new cars, one of which is the A5L, which adheres to the design essence of "the most beautiful Audi" and integrates top domestic intelligent driving technology, and the other is the first B-segment model of the AUDI brand—namely the new energy intelligent new car AUDI E, which previously debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

In addition, SAIC Volkswagen also had a very happy Spring Festival. On New Year's Eve, at the fifth "Auto Awards Ceremony" hosted by China Media Group, SAIC Volkswagen was honored with the "2024 Trend·Joint Venture Model Case," and the Passat Pro won "2024 Trend·Sedan," gaining recognition on both the corporate and product fronts. In addition, SAIC Volkswagen also won the 2025 "China Outstanding Employer," the "Five-Star Enterprise" in the first automotive enterprise carbon management system evaluation for 2024, and so on... As the saying goes, mood determines pace. The intertwining of start-of-year sales and honors has filled SAIC Volkswagen with joy. It can be seen that the Year of the Snake will again be a year of striving forward with big strides.
